The Marianna Police Department revealed details of their latest arrest. Although the investigation is ongoing, we do have enough details to release here.
Suspect Reportedly Fled From Police After Gunshots Reported
On November 8th, Marianna Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Doby Lane.
Officers chased the fleeing suspects in their vehicles when they refused to stop.
During the incident, the officers successfully ended the chase near Highway 1 and Highway 242 in Phillips County, Arkansas.
Although the investigation is still underway, here’s what we do know.
An 18-year old named Omar Palmer has been charged with:
- Terroristic Act (4 counts, Felony)
- Aggravated Assault (2 counts, Felony)
- Fleeing (Felony)
- Various misdemeanor charges (16 counts)
A bond has not yet been set for Palmer, and he is awaiting a Rule 8 Hearing. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
