Arkansas police finally caught their suspect after a high speed chase involving 3 counties and multiple police departments.
On Thursday, a high-speed chase initiated in Camden County led law enforcement on a chase through three counties. The pursuit began after gunshots were reported. They stopped the suspect using spike strips.
High Speed Chase Involved 3 Counties
The suspect, Tony Askew, was spotted refueling at a local gas station. Upon noticing police, he fled, initiating a chase that saw speeds over 95 MPH.
Officers from Camden and Bearden joined the pursuit as it crossed county lines. The chase concluded in Dallas County when Askew stopped just before spike strips.
Askew was taken into custody without further incident and transported back to Camden for processing.
