Unity Health has awarded 18 local elementary schools with grants for completing the Unity Kids Healthy Ambassador Program. The grants are worth $3,000 each.
The Unity Kids program consists of a fun 26-week lesson plan designed to teach healthy habits to 3rd-grade students each week. Every third-grade student within the school participates and completes an essay at the end of the program describing what they have learned. Each student receives a Unity Kids shirt.
The 2023-2024 grants were awarded to Bayou Meto Elementary School, Beebe Elementary School, Cabot Elementary School, Harding Academy, Newport Elementary School, Pangburn Elementary School, Searcy Elementary Schools, and White County Elementary School.
