A spokesperson with the Arkansas Department and Finance Administration hails the new S&P Global Rating boost as a big win for the state of Arkansas.
Arkansas was one of only six states to get a positive rating change. The new change is expected to give Arkansas more positive attention from outside and local investors.
According to the spokesperson:
“The business community is certainly aware of S&P as leaders rely heavily on its ratings. The upgrade from stable to positive means the state’s potential for investment and expansion increases, ultimately benefiting Arkansans as our economy expands.”
