Victims have been saved by law enforcement in Arkansas.

According to KATV, A large human trafficking operation has just been confirmed in Arkansas. Law enforcement found dozens of victims in an operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies. Even children were taken into protective custody.

Law Enforcement Save Dozens Of Human Trafficking Victims

Operation HOPE (Help and Opportunity to Prevent Exploitation) that took place this month. It was conducted by law enforcement in Arkansas by multiple enforcement agencies.

The operation was conducted to help find victims and arrest traffickers.

The following groups were behind the operation:

  • Hot Springs Police Department
  • The NWA Forensic Nurse Team
  • FBI
  • Garland County Sheriff’s Office
  • Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
  • Arkansas Fusion Center
  • Harrison Police Department
  • Regional Intervention of Sexual Exploitation (RISE)
  • The Genesis Project
  • Into the Light
  • ACASA
  • Saline County Safe Haven
  • River Valley Medical Wellness

Victims were offered a place to stay as well as food and shelter.

ASP Director Colonel Mike Hagar released the following statement:

“These concerted efforts will significantly contribute to making Arkansas a place where human trafficking is not tolerated.”
