A disgusting act targeting free public access to education.

The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System was vandalized last night, with significant damage reported by local sources. One suspect has reportedly been arrested in connection with the burglary. You can view the photographs of the incident below.

Vandalism Photos Emerge Online After Library Break-In

Inside, bookshelves were reportedly toppled, chairs were out of place, and books littered the floor. The library staff quickly began cleanup and secured the premises.

The same suspect also reportedly broke into a UAPB building across the street, damaging a door. The vandalism extended to the gate at a new rooftop bar.

Authorities are still piecing together the events of the evening. More updates will follow as the investigation progresses.

The vandalism and burglary reportedly occurred on the evening of February 8th.
