The top director of Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has resigned.
According to Arkansas Online, the Governor’s public affairs director, Jordan Powell, is resigning. Powell aims to defeat a new education agenda by joining the Arkansans for Students and Educators.
Resignation Announced
The Arkansas Educational Rights Amendment of 2024 is a controversial piece of legislation that would literally change the Arkansas constitution to make certain education a “right” for Arkansas residents.
Language in the amendment describes “universal access” and children 200% below the poverty line.
Before working with Sarah Huckabee Sanders as her Director, Jordan Powell was the Founder & President of RedRight Strategies, a group helping “campaigns, businesses, and non-profits craft their message and successfully communicate with their target audience.”
