A 20-year-old Hot Springs National man, Jaidyn Dalton, was arrested on March 22, 2025, at 6:14 PM. He faces charges of second-degree forgery, a Class C felony. He faces a $25,000 bond.
Arkansas Man Accused Of Trying To Cash Forged Check
According to case files, on November 11, 2024, Dalton allegedly attempted to cash a forged check for $2,359.03 at First State Bank in Russellville. Bank employees allegedly reported the suspicious activity to police.
The check was allegedly issued by Omega Solutions INC, but the company allegedly confirmed it was fake. Dalton allegedly presented an Oregon ID before allegedly fleeing the scene.
Officer Lucas Jackson allegedly responded to the call and allegedly gathered evidence from bank employee Ryan Cutler. The affidavit allegedly cites reasonable cause for the forgery charge.
Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Phillips allegedly filed the case on February 20, 2025, in Pope County Circuit Court. A warrant was allegedly issued after a preliminary finding of probable cause.
Dalton’s second-degree forgery charge allegedly carries a potential 3-10 year prison sentence. It also allegedly includes a fine of up to $10,000.
Following his arrest, Dalton’s bond was set at $25,000. He remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
