Vicky Ferguson and Brad Keahey from Mount Magazine State Park emerged victorious in the 2025 Arkansas State Parks Top Chef Competition, held at University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock. Competing chefs included representatives from Queen Wilhelmina, Petit Jean, Ozark Folk Center, Mount Magazine, and DeGray Lake State Parks.

Our very own CEO Bob Connell, also a commissioner for the Arkansas State Parks, Recreation, and Travel Commission, served as one of the four judges. Connell commented, “All five parks’ dishes were excellent, and everyone raved about how great the food was.” The event highlighted the diverse culinary talents across Arkansas’ state parks.
