A man was arrested in White County, Arkansas on February 28th, 2025.

His alleged crime? Computer fraud.

The White County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Lonnie Dwayne May, 60, for allegedly stealing and fraudulently using his cousin Debbie Swan’s financial information. The incidents reportedly occurred on May 22-24, 2024, following Swan’s hospital stay, when May and accomplice Stacee Odellion Wheeler stayed at her home. You can view the suspect’s photo below.

According to case files, May is accused of using Swan’s cell phone to make $350 in unauthorized Cash App transactions to his own account. He faces charges of theft of property, computer fraud, and fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, all stemming from the $728 total loss reported by Swan.

Wheeler, also involved, reportedly admitted to using Swan’s debit card for $178 in purchases and forging a $200 check to a neighbor. Both suspects were located with help from Arkansas Community Corrections Officers.

The fraudulent activities included multiple transactions using Swan’s bank card and checkbook, done without her knowledge or permission. Swan’s phone, wallet, and purse, containing her personal and financial details, were compromised during her recovery.

May, born December 2, 1963, faces Class D felony charges for theft and computer fraud, as well as a Class A misdemeanor for credit/debit card fraud. His bond is set at $5,500 to ensure his court appearance.

The case, filed under Case Number 24-0105, was investigated by Detective Sergeant Josh Biviano of the White County Sheriff’s Department.
