Planned Power Outage In Fairfield Bay Announced After Substation Repairs
Thomas W. Nowlin with Petit Jean Electric gave the following reason for the outage:
“The Fairfield Bay Substation has suddenly developed a weak phase and Petit Jean Electric will need to depower the entire FFB substation to make repairs.”
Nowlin continued:
“If all goes according to plan, the duration of the power loss should be short. We will restore the power as quickly and safely as possible.“
Mayor of Fairfield Bay, Seth Connell, in conjunction with Lake Area Weekly, released a PSA to residents warning of the planned power outage:
“It’s not the largest sub-station, so the number of residents impacted should be nominal.”
Connell continued:
“Please be patient. Crews are working to get the situation resolved.”
The power went off for a number of residents at around 8:30am in the morning. Power was restored quickly after.
