U.S. Senator John Boozman has recognized Tiffany Wright as a 2026 Angels in Adoption honoree for her longstanding work to improve outcomes for children and families across Arkansas.
Wright serves as Director of the Division of Children and Family Services at the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
She oversees programs involving child safety, prevention of child abuse and neglect, foster care and adoption.
Wright began working with the division in 2009 as a family service worker and has spent her career helping protect vulnerable children, support families and provide stability for children in foster care.
BOOZMAN PRAISES WRIGHT’S SERVICE
Boozman said Wright has consistently demonstrated compassion and commitment to Arkansas children and families.
“Tiffany has consistently and compassionately shown up for Arkansas children and families, often during some of the most difficult moments of their lives,” Boozman said.
He said her dedication to helping children build better futures and providing families with support represents the best of public service.
“I appreciate all she has done and continues to do for Natural State kids, families and communities,” Boozman said.
WORK TO STRENGTHEN FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION
Throughout her career, Wright has worked to improve recruitment of foster families and expand adoption efforts across Arkansas.
Those efforts include support for the Project Zero Heart Gallery, which shares the stories of children currently in foster care who are waiting to be adopted.
The program helps connect children with individuals and families interested in adoption.
179-MILE PLEDGE FOR CHILDREN AWAITING ADOPTION
In 2025, Wright took her advocacy a step further with a personal pledge.
She ran 179 miles, representing 1 mile for each child in Arkansas’ foster care system who was awaiting adoption at the time.
The effort helped bring attention to children who were still waiting to find permanent homes.
WHAT IS ANGELS IN ADOPTION?
The Angels in Adoption program is coordinated by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.
The nonpartisan organization works to increase awareness about children who need safe, stable and loving homes.
Members of Congress select individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to adoption, permanency and child welfare.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR ARKANSAS LEADERSHIP
Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute Executive Director Kate McLean praised Wright’s leadership and commitment.
“Every day, across the country, people are doing extraordinary work to help children and families find safety, stability, and permanency, and Angels in Adoption gives us an opportunity to shine a national spotlight on that work,” McLean said.
McLean said Wright represents the kind of leadership and dedication the Angels in Adoption program was created to recognize.
“We are proud to celebrate her contributions and to highlight the important work happening in communities across the country to ensure every child has the opportunity to find a permanent family,” McLean said.
BOOZMAN CONTINUES ANNUAL RECOGNITION
Boozman annually recognizes an Arkansan or Arkansas organization for outstanding contributions to adoption, foster care and the well-being of children and families.
Wright’s 2026 recognition highlights more than 15 years of work within Arkansas’ child welfare system and her continued efforts to help children find safe, stable and permanent homes.
