A 4-year-old child has died following a residential fire late Sunday night on Elliot Lane near Conway, prompting a joint investigation by the Arkansas State Police and Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities are investigating a late-night residential fire that claimed the life of a 4-year-old child near Conway.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the home during the late-night hours of Sunday, July 26. Dispatch recordings from the response indicated that firefighters searched the residence after arriving at the scene.

Authorities later confirmed that a 4-year-old child died as a result of the fire. The child’s identity has not been publicly released.
