University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville and University of Arkansas at Monticello have announced a new partnership designed to expand affordable higher education opportunities in Arkansas.

The agreement allows UACCB students to earn bachelor’s degrees from UAM without leaving the Batesville campus. The Bachelor of Arts in K-6 Elementary Education program is scheduled to begin in May 2026, with the Bachelor of Business Administration launching in August 2026. Both programs are pending approval from the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Higher Learning Commission.
Using a campus-within-a-campus model, students will complete 2 years as UACCB students before transitioning to UAM for their junior and senior years. Tuition will follow UACCB rates for the first 2 years and UAM rates for the final 2 years. Graduates will earn an associate degree from UACCB and a bachelor’s degree from UAM.
UAM will also offer a $3,000 per semester UACCB Transfer Scholarship for students who complete 55 credit hours and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Dr. Brian Shonk, chancellor of UACCB, and Dr. Peggy Doss, chancellor of UAM, highlighted the partnership during a ceremonial signing at Independence Hall on the UACCB campus.
