Scout Stubbs, a Greenbrier small business owner and born Arkansan, has announced her candidacy for Arkansas State Representative in District 42, campaigning on a platform centered on smaller government, less regulations, and lower taxes.

Stubbs says her campaign reflects her personal journey from working a minimum-wage job to building a successful retail business with her husband over the past 12 years.

“I’m not a career politician or a political insider,” Stubbs said. “I’m a regular Arkansan who understands the challenges and dreams of everyday people. The only obstacles I’ve faced have been those created by government. If elected, I will work for the people in my district, not the political elite and special interest groups in Little Rock.”

Stubbs says she believes state government decisions often impact Arkansans more directly than federal policy and wants to bring accountability and transparency to the State Capitol.

Her platform includes:

• Smaller Government — Reducing bureaucracy and government overreach while improving accountability and transparency.

• Second Amendment Rights — Defending the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

• Eliminating Property Tax — keeping Arkansans in their homes without the threat of government interference.

• Small Business and Farm Growth — Reducing regulatory burdens and simplifying scalability.

• Pro-Life Advocacy — Supporting protections for unborn children.

Stubbs is a wife and homeschooling mother of two and says she is committed to lowering the cost of living so Arkansas families can thrive.

“I believe in the people of Arkansas,” Stubbs said. “My husband and I built our business by trusting in hard work and freedom. I’m running to protect those same opportunities for every Arkansan in District 42.”

Scout was born and raised in Arkansas and previously pursued a singing career as a teenager. She earned a degree in Music Business from Middle Tennessee State University and later worked as a publicist in professional wrestling, collaborating with well-known performers before returning home to Arkansas. After relocating back to the state, she and her husband launched a business focused on helping customers quit smoking and reduce dependency on pharmaceuticals.

Stubbs says her experience navigating state regulations motivated her to seek office and advocate for other business owners and homeschooling families.
