Searcy residents are invited to gather Thursday evening for a community prayer service commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The gathering will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 10, inside Benson Auditorium at Harding University.
Community members will pray for the city of Searcy and the nation, along with local schools, churches and families. The service will also honor and remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during the attacks on September 11, 2001.
The community prayer gathering is being organized in partnership with Harding University and is open to everyone in the Searcy community.
An ice cream social will follow the prayer service, giving those attending an opportunity to spend time together in fellowship.
