Dog owners and their four-legged companions are invited to celebrate the opening of a brand-new recreational space as the City of Searcy officially opens its new Dog Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m.

The ceremony will take place at the Carmichael Community Center, where city leaders will officially unveil the newest addition to Searcy’s growing parks and recreation system.

Designed to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for both pets and their owners, the new Dog Park offers dedicated areas where dogs can exercise, socialize, and enjoy the outdoors.

Separate Areas for Large and Small Dogs

City officials say the park was thoughtfully designed by Planning and Development Director Richard Stafford in coordination with Davidson Engineering.

To help ensure a safe experience for every visitor, the park features:

Separate play areas for large dogs
Separate play areas for small dogs
Secure fenced enclosures
Open space for exercise and socialization

Officials say the separate areas allow dogs of all sizes to play safely while giving owners peace of mind.

Amenities for Pets and Owners

The new Dog Park also includes several features designed to make visits more comfortable, including:

A covered pavilion with seating and shade
A pup drinking station to keep dogs hydrated
Open green space for exercise and play

The park is intended to provide a welcoming gathering place where pet owners can connect while their dogs enjoy a safe off-leash environment.

Continuing to Improve Searcy Parks

City officials say the Dog Park reflects Searcy’s continued investment in parks, recreation, and quality-of-life improvements for residents.

The facility becomes the latest enhancement to the city’s expanding park system and is part of an ongoing effort to provide amenities for residents of all ages—including their pets.

Mayor Mat Faulkner said community interest helped make the project a reality.

“This is a project that many residents have been excited about, and we’re thrilled to see it become a reality. We look forward to seeing families and their four-legged friends enjoy it for years to come.”

Community Invited

The City of Searcy is encouraging residents to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and bring their dogs to help celebrate the official opening.

The event begins at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the Carmichael Community Center.
