A traffic stop on March 26, 2026, led to multiple felony drug charges after a suspect fled from deputies along Highway 13.

According to authorities, a Prairie County Deputy initiated a stop on a white Chevrolet truck near the intersection of Highway 38 and Highway 13 after the vehicle was found to have no valid insurance.

The driver, identified as Jerrad Williams, cooperated with deputies. However, passenger Misty Crook, who was found to have an active felony warrant out of Lonoke County Arkansas, became agitated during the stop.

Deputies say Crook attempted to access the vehicle before fleeing on foot into a nearby yard. During the pursuit, she discarded a pill bottle. After ignoring repeated commands, the deputy deployed a Taser, successfully stopping her.

Following her arrest, authorities recovered multiple controlled substances including approximately 3.0 grams of suspected methamphetamine, methadone, clonazepam, and various drug paraphernalia.

Additional items including marijuana, grinders, and baggies with residue were located inside the vehicle. A further search of the patrol unit later revealed a broken glass meth pipe hidden in the seat where Crook had been sitting.

Crook faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, tampering with evidence, fleeing, and resisting arrest. She is currently being held on a $15,000 bond at the Prairie County Detention Center.

Williams was cited for misdemeanor drug offenses and traffic violations and is scheduled to appear in Des Arc District Court on June 2, 2026.

Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
