The Searcy Parks and Recreation has announced an update to its Easter event due to expected severe weather this weekend.
The Hop and Go Egg-Stravaganza, originally planned outdoors, will now take place inside the Carmichael Community Center Gym on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will now be a come-and-go format to better accommodate families.
Organizers say the event will still feature a variety of activities including visits with the Easter Bunny, Peep, a magician, face painting, crafts, and designated stations where children can collect eggs by age group.
Officials say the move indoors ensures a safe and comfortable experience for families while still delivering a fun community celebration.
