Literacy Council of White County is partnering with the Dismas Project and University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service to host a free Community ReEntry Simulation event on Monday, March 30, 2026.
The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Downtown Church of Christ gymnasium located at 900 North Main Street in Searcy.
Organizers say the simulation will allow participants to experience firsthand the challenges individuals face when returning to the community after incarceration, including barriers related to employment, housing, and daily responsibilities.
The event is designed to build awareness and encourage community understanding of reentry struggles while promoting support resources across White County.
Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to reserve a spot by calling or texting 501-278-5500 or 501-388-7494.
Organizers say the interactive experience is open to the public and aims to strengthen community connections and support systems for individuals transitioning back into society.
