Community members across Arkansas are stepping up to support Jeremy Hollingshead, a devoted father of 3 children, as he works to raise funds for a reliable handicap accessible vehicle following a life-changing accident.
Hollingshead is the father of Opal (3), Beckett (6), and Tylee (9). About 1.5 years ago, his life changed instantly when he fell from the back of a truck after a day of swimming.

The accident caused a traumatic brain injury, broke his neck, and nearly severed his spinal cord, leaving him a quadriplegic.
Despite the challenges, Jeremy and his family continue moving forward with determination and support from friends, family, and the community.
Initially, the family launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to repair their handicap accessible van, which Jeremy relies on for doctor’s appointments and family outings.
However, after taking the van to a mechanic, the family learned the repairs would cost more than the van is worth, and the vehicle had too many issues to safely continue using it.
Jeremy recently shared an update with ArkansasRadio.com explaining the change in plans.
“We have since taking the van to the mechanic realized that the issues and how much it would cost to fix the van are more than what the van is currently worth. There’s just too much wrong with it, so we are taking the money that people have donated and are continuing to donate and putting it toward buying a better used handicap vehicle that will be more reliable and more suitable for me.”
The goal now is to purchase a dependable used handicap accessible vehicle that will allow Jeremy to safely travel to medical appointments and continue spending meaningful time with his children.
Jeremy says reliable transportation would dramatically improve his ability to participate in family life.
“That way, the money that is raised will go further in helping ensure that I can continuously get to doctor visits and go on family outings like taking my kids to the park, the zoo, or outdoor paved trails,” Hollingshead said. “It would greatly increase the quality of life for both me and my children.”
Supporters say every donation helps Jeremy remain active in his children’s lives and maintain critical access to medical care.
