A Van Buren County stolen truck recovery has resulted in the arrest of a Clinton man following cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to Eric Koonce, deputies recovered a Ram 2500 that had been reported stolen out of Faulkner County in September 2025.
Authorities say Faulkner County Sheriff’s deputies notified Van Buren County that the stolen vehicle had been listed on Facebook Marketplace. The listing reportedly appeared to have been created by an individual identified as Sam Holmes of Clinton.
Van Buren County deputies responded to the listed address and verified the vehicle’s VIN matched the stolen vehicle report. The truck was impounded, and Faulkner County authorities notified the victim.
Although Holmes was not present at the residence during the recovery, deputies later identified him during a traffic stop as a person of interest. Samuel Holmes of Clinton, Arkansas, was arrested on charges of Theft by Receiving and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Sheriff Koonce praised the cooperation between departments, calling it a job well done by all agencies involved.
The case remains under investigation.
