The Searcy Community Center naming process is officially underway, and city leaders are inviting residents to help shape the identity of one of the community’s most anticipated projects.

The new Community Center, approved through the #MySearcy initiative, is designed to be a hub for connection, recreation, and shared experiences for generations to come.
Planned features include multi-purpose courts, fitness spaces, community gathering and event rooms, and programming for youth, adults, and seniors. The facility will also offer flexible recreation and wellness areas, convenient access to outdoor trails, and a unique bike ramp that travels through the building.
City officials are asking residents to submit name ideas along with an explanation of the meaning behind each suggestion and how it reflects Searcy’s values, history, or future vision.
Submissions are due by April 15, 2026, and will be reviewed by a committee of local communication experts. A recommendation will then be presented to the Searcy City Council for final approval.
