Lyon College will host the seventh annual Bad Boy Mowers Scots Spectacular on Saturday, April 18, at 6 p.m. inside Becknell Gymnasium on the Lyon College campus, 2300 Highland Rd.
The Denim and Diamonds-themed evening will feature chef-crafted cuisine, live entertainment, and fundraising activities benefiting Lyon College student-athletes. Guests are encouraged to dress in Western-chic attire for what has become the college’s largest annual fundraising event.
The naming sponsor is Bad Boy Mowers. Presenting sponsors include Bank of Cave City and First Community Bank. Entertainment sponsor is Tooth Be Told.
The evening will include a silent and online auction featuring sports memorabilia, travel experiences, fine jewelry, and handcrafted items from local artisans. Guests will enjoy six themed tasting stations hosted by area restaurants including Colton’s Steak House & Grill, Cowboys BBQ, Fresh Ideas of Lyon College, Grazing Grace, Nature’s Market, and Polk and Paddle.
Live entertainment will be provided by Nashville recording artist KC Johns and local favorite Drasco. Johns is known for her high-energy country-rock performances and her single “Rodeo Queen,” which climbed the Texas country charts.
Cindy Barber, executive director of alumni engagement at Lyon College, said the event is a special opportunity for alumni and supporters to celebrate Scots athletics and rally behind student-athletes.
Kevin Jenkins, director of athletics, added that funds raised during Scots Spectacular directly enhance athletic facilities and programs, helping student-athletes succeed both competitively and academically.
All proceeds from the event will support facility improvements and program enhancements for Lyon College athletics.
