The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has described the suspect as a man approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 with an average build. Authorities say the individual was wearing a ski mask, boxing gloves, and carrying a 25-liter Ozark Trail backpack at the time of the alleged abduction.

Surveillance Footage Captured

Investigators say the suspect was captured on a residential doorbell camera on February 1, 2026, tampering with security equipment at Guthrie’s Tucson home around the time of the reported kidnapping.

The grainy footage has made identification difficult, prompting law enforcement to seek assistance from the public.

Forensic Sketch Released

Renowned forensic artist Lois Gibson voluntarily created a sketch based on the available footage in hopes of generating new leads. Authorities stress that the sketch is an interpretation intended to aid recognition efforts.

Reward Increased

The FBI has increased the reward to $100,000 for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s location and the identification of the suspect.

Investigators report receiving more than 13,000 tips so far. While social media speculation has circulated about potential individuals connected to the case, law enforcement has not confirmed any suspects or persons of interest.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the FBI tip line.
