Mike Allen and Deana Hamby-Nall announced this week the release of The Abduction of Mrs. Ruby Lowery Stapleton, a work exploring the disappearance of a Harding College instructor in the early 1960s.

Their previous book, A Murder in Searcy, sparked widespread discussion locally and beyond. The new release turns its focus to Ruby Lowery Stapleton and what is described as a crime and investigation that stretched more than 50 years.

Allen, a Searcy native and graduate of Harding University, now lives in Washington, D.C. Hamby-Nall teaches college writing at the University of Arkansas–Pulaski Technical College.

According to the online retailer listing, the book details “the story of the crime against Mrs. Stapleton and the subsequent investigation which lasted more than 50 years.”

The book is now available on Amazon.com.
