Students in the Arkansas State University-Beebe John Deere Agriculture Equipment Technology program have been awarded ASU-Beebe John Deere Tech Scholarships through Deere and Company in partnership with the John Deere Foundation.
Scholarships were presented to students with the highest overall grade point averages and exceptional work performance with sponsoring dealers.

Peyton Hobby of Sherwood received a $1,000 scholarship sponsored by Greenway Equipment in Stuttgart.
Online scholarship recipients include Elijah Friesz, awarded $1,000; Isaiah Walter, awarded $500; Thomas Heap, awarded $1,000; and Jesse Neilson, awarded $500. Their scholarships were sponsored by North Dakota Gooseneck Implement and Stotz Equipment dealerships.
“These scholarships can be used to purchase tools and equipment needed to start their careers as full-time John Deere technicians after graduation,” said Jake Selvidge, director and advanced instructor of the program.
The John Deere agriculture equipment technology program prepares students for careers in the high-tech field of agricultural mechanization. Graduates earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in agriculture equipment technology.
Founded in 1927, ASU-Beebe serves students across campuses in Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy, Little Rock Air Force Base, and online.
