White River Medical Center in Batesville has earned national recognition after being named to Forbes’ inaugural Top Hospitals list for 2026, placing the Batesville-based medical center among the nation’s top-performing hospitals.

White River Medical Center is one of only four hospitals in Arkansas selected for the prestigious list, which evaluates general acute-care hospitals across the country. The ranking highlights facilities demonstrating excellence in patient outcomes, safety measures, value of care, and overall patient experience.
