Two men were arrested Thursday after the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence in Scotland, Arkansas.
Authorities say the warrant was served on January 8, 2026, at 323 Buena Vista Drive.
During the operation, deputies arrested Gerald Coogan, who faces multiple charges including felony probation violation, possession of firearms by certain persons, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A second individual, Chadwick Williams, was also taken into custody at the residence. He is charged with parole violation, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officials did not release details about the type of controlled substances recovered during the search.
Both men were transported to the Van Buren County Detention Center for booking.
Authorities remind the public that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation remains ongoing.
