A new locally produced television series celebrating healthy, affordable cooking is coming to Arkansas screens this spring.

“Arkansas Taste Kitchen” will premiere Thursday, March 5, on Arkansas TV. The show is hosted by well-known Arkansas personality Craig O’Neill and features Local Master Chef and University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College instructor Dr. Robert Hall, along with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Culinary Medicine nutrition expert Alyssa Frisby.
Filmed in the kitchens at UA Pulaski Technical College in Conway, the series showcases easy-to-follow recipes, practical nutrition guidance, and budget-friendly meal ideas designed for families across the state. Viewers will learn cooking techniques, portion control, label reading, and ways to prepare flavorful meals without overspending.
Arkansas TV Executive Director and CEO Carlton Wing said the program reflects the network’s mission to inform and inspire Arkansans while highlighting local talent and expertise.
Dr. Hall brings decades of culinary experience to the show, including national and international recognition as a master chef and previous service as an executive chef during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Frisby, a registered and licensed dietitian, serves as an instructor and senior brand and project manager for UAMS’ Culinary Medicine program, combining nutrition science with practical cooking education.
Producers say the goal of “Arkansas Taste Kitchen” is to make healthy eating approachable, enjoyable, and accessible for viewers of all skill levels.
The series is produced by Arkansas TV’s Emmy Award-winning production team in partnership with UA Pulaski Technical College and UAMS.
