Jeff Williams has officially announced his candidacy for White County Sheriff, entering the race ahead of the March 3, 2026 election.

Williams brings a background that includes military service and more than two decades in law enforcement. He began serving at age 17 when he joined the United States Army and later deployed to Iraq as an infantry soldier, gaining experience as a combat veteran.
After returning home, Williams continued his career in law enforcement, dedicating more than 20 years to protecting communities across the region. His campaign emphasizes experience, leadership, and service.
If elected, Williams says his priorities include strengthening professional standards within the sheriff’s office, expanding training opportunities for deputies, targeting illegal drugs and human trafficking, protecting children from online predators, and strengthening partnerships with local law enforcement agencies throughout White County.
Williams also said he supports community-focused policing and believes in being visible, approachable, and accountable to the public.
“It’s been an honor to serve my country and this county,” Williams said. “Now I’m asking for the honor of serving White County as your Sheriff.”
Early voting begins February 17, with Election Day scheduled for March 3, 2026.
