The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District has officially closed Dardanelle Marina as of Dec. 31, 2025, after choosing not to renew the facility’s lease due to ongoing public safety violations and failure to meet lease requirements.

According to the Corps, vessel owners must remove all boats and personal property from the marina by March 7, 2026. Any vessels or belongings left on the property after April 7, 2026, will be subject to impoundment under Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 327.15, which governs abandoned personal property on federal lands.
The Corps of Engineers stated the decision not to renew the lease followed continued noncompliance with lease conditions related to public safety and facility standards.
An official public notice regarding the closure is available on the Little Rock District website. For additional information, the public may contact the Little Rock District Real Estate Office at 501-324-5716.
The Little Rock District oversees a wide range of military and civil works projects, including operation of 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigable waterways on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 138 parks, and seven hydroelectric plants across the state.
