Dale James officially announced today that he is seeking re-election as Republican County Judge of Van Buren County, citing strong financial stewardship, transparent leadership, and continued community growth as key priorities for his next term.

“Serving as County Judge has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” James said. “Van Buren County is filled with hardworking people who care deeply about their communities. Together, we’ve made real progress by strengthening our financial position, improving county services, and leading with accountability and transparency.”
During his current term, James has helped position Van Buren County for greater regional influence and long-term opportunity. He was appointed by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to serve on the Arkansas 250 Commission, elected First Vice Chair of the County Judges Association of Arkansas, and played a key role in advancing legislation sponsored by Representative Rick Beck that benefits natural gas royalty owners throughout Van Buren County and the Fayetteville Shale region.
“These opportunities give our county a stronger voice at the state level and ensure that rural communities are represented when important decisions are being made,” James said.
James said his campaign will continue to focus on responsible budgeting, infrastructure improvement, transparency in government, and maintaining strong county services while protecting taxpayers.
“I believe good government means serving people first,” James said. “There is still important work ahead, and I remain committed to leading with faith, integrity, and steady leadership.”
James encouraged voters to stay engaged in the upcoming election and thanked residents for their continued support.
