The Humane Society of Searcy is reminding residents of an easy way to support local animal care efforts — by shopping and donating at the Barkin’ Barn Thrift Store.

The store is located at 108 North Gum Street in Searcy, directly across from the Searcy Police Station, and offers a variety of gently used items with proceeds benefiting the Humane Society’s programs and animal services.
Barkin’ Barn is open to shoppers on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members can also drop off donations Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Officials say purchases and donations help fund food, medical care, shelter operations, and adoption services for animals in need throughout the Searcy area.
Supporters can also follow The Barkin’ Barn on Facebook for store updates, donation needs, and special announcements.
The Humane Society encourages residents to shop local, donate when possible, and help make a difference for animals in the community.
