The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration has announced it is waiving all late fees for vehicle registrations that expired this week due to weather-related state office closures.
The late-fee waiver applies to any vehicle registration renewed by Friday, February 6, ensuring Arkansans are not penalized for expiration dates that occurred while state offices were closed because of hazardous winter weather.
In addition to waiving late fees, The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration will extend operating hours at several Revenue Offices across the state next week to assist customers impacted by the closures.
Officials say the action is intended to provide flexibility for residents who were unable to complete renewals during the period of inclement weather. A full list of Revenue Offices offering extended hours, along with additional details, is available on the agency’s official website.
