The White County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of Leigh Ann Moore a 37-year-old woman whose body was found in the woods near Dee Par Tee Creek off Lake Road in Bradford. Authorities say her white Chevrolet Impala was discovered partially submerged in the creek Sunday afternoon. The call came in around 4:30 p.m., and the case was initially investigated as a missing persons report.
A boat was launched, and deputies confirmed no one was inside the vehicle. Lt. Scott Seiders said the temperature at the time was just 16 degrees. The White County Dive Team returned Monday morning to retrieve the vehicle. The medical examiner’s office will determine the official cause of death.
