White County Man Charged with First-Degree Domestic Battery, Leaving Scene of Injury Accident

A White County man is facing multiple felony charges following the filing of a criminal information in White County Circuit Court.

According to court records, Stedman Ashton Hart has been charged with Domestic Battery in the First Degree, a Class B felony, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Serious Physical Injury.

The charges allege Hart caused serious physical injury to a family or household member and later left the scene of an accident in which another person suffered serious injury.

Hart was formally charged by the White County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. His bond has been set at $100,000.

The case remains pending in White County Circuit Court.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
