The United Way of White County is expressing gratitude to the community following its most successful Santa Shopping Experience, which helped more than 400 children across White County enjoy a merrier Christmas this year.

Local citizens, volunteers, and partner organizations came together to support the annual effort, which provides children in need the opportunity to shop for gifts during the holiday season. A major contributor was the Battle of the Boxes toy drive, supported by the Searcy Police and Fire Departments. For the second year in a row, the Searcy Police Department earned the Golden Santa Trophy by collecting the most toy donations.

United Way leaders thanked the many volunteers, program partners, and organizations whose time and generosity made the event possible.

Special recognition was given to Mission Machine, Inc., CASA of White County, Searcy Fire Department, Texas Roadhouse Searcy, Williams Temple Church of God in Christ, Searcy Parks & Recreation, and numerous additional community members and groups who stepped up to help.

Congratulations to the Searcy Police Department on winning the coveted Golden Santa Award for the second year in a row!

Organizers say the strong community response reflects the generous spirit of White County and made a lasting impact on hundreds of children and families during the Christmas season.
