North Central Arkansas Cornhole & Darts Association Launches to Build leagues and Competition

A casual hobby shared among friends is now becoming a full community movement with the launch of the North Central Arkansas Cornhole and Darts Association. The new organization aims to create a welcoming league for players of all skill levels, while reviving two classic American games — cornhole and darts — through weekly play, tournaments, and social nights.

Interest has surged across Van Buren County and surrounding areas for affordable, accessible recreation. Organizers say the mission is about more than tossing bags or hitting bullseyes — it’s about bringing neighbors together, supporting local businesses, and building community pride.

Cornhole and darts hold deep roots in U.S. culture, from 19th-century taverns to modern backyard gatherings and competitive tournaments. Now, the association hopes to honor that history while creating new traditions and friendships.

An organizational meeting is set for January 6 at 7 p.m. at the Cool Pool Bar & Grill, where newcomers and experienced players alike are invited to join. Those interested can call 501-757-9352 or follow future announcements on social media.

The message is simple — sometimes the simplest games create the strongest connections.
