Newark Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 14 Near Marcella in a single-vehicle accident just after midnight on December 27, 2025, along State Highway 14 East near Marcella. According to the Arkansas State Police report, 36-year-old Kenneth C. Cordell was traveling east in a 2014 Buick when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, struck a stump and the vehicle overturned.
Road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash, and no other injuries were reported. Cordell’s body was turned over to the Stone County Coroner, and next of kin have been notified.
Arkansas State Police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
