A GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to help cover funeral expenses for Leigh Ann Moore from Searcy, the 37-year-old woman found dead near Dee Par Tee Creek in Bradford.
The White County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Moore’s body was discovered in the woods near Dee Par Tee Creek off Lake Road Sunday afternoon after her white Chevrolet Impala was found partially submerged in the creek. Authorities say the call came in around 4:30 p.m., and the incident was initially investigated as a missing persons case. Deputies launched a boat and confirmed no one was inside the vehicle.
Lt. Scott Seiders with the White County Sheriff’s Office said temperatures at the time were just 16 degrees. The White County Dive Team returned Monday morning to retrieve the vehicle from the creek.
The Arkansas State Crime Lab will determine the official cause of death.
In a statement shared through the GoFundMe fundraiser, Ezra Kemp said, “Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.”
