Christmas on the Square 2025: Mountain View Arkansas Brings Santa, Free Train Rides & Family Fun Dec. 5–7

Mountain View is gearing up for one of its most beloved traditions as Christmas on the Square returns December 5th and 6th, filling downtown with lights, music, festive activities, and classic small-town holiday charm. Families are encouraged to stay through the weekend and return

Sunday, December 7th, for the annual Christmas on the Square Church Service, presented by Compass View Church at 10:30 a.m. on the courthouse stage.

 


Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting children both Friday and Saturday at the courthouse gazebo—transformed into Mountain View’s own “North Pole.” Families can enjoy photos, Christmas wishes, and magical holiday moments throughout the weekend.
Santa Visit Hours:
• Friday, Dec. 5: 6–8 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 6: 10 a.m.–12 p.m., 1–5 p.m., 6:30–8 p.m.


Kids can also hop aboard free train rides thanks to the generosity of Collie Farms. The festively lit rides offer a Hallmark-style experience right in the heart of Mountain View.
Train Ride Hours:
• Friday: 6–8 p.m.
• Saturday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.


New this year, the Mountain View Meeting Place (106 E. Washington St.) will host a Free Christmas Paint Party on Saturday, December 6.
• Kids sessions: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. & 3–5 p.m.
• Adults-only session: 1–3 p.m. (pre-registration available via QR code)


Thanks to RE/MAX Edge, children can enjoy Candy Cane Lane, featuring free kids crafts, giant bubbles, games, an inflatable slide, and free train rides—all on the Square.
With Santa visits, glowing lights, festive attractions, a community church service, a brand-new paint party, and endless free family activities, this year’s Christmas on the Square promises to be one of the most memorable weekends of the season.
