Cave City’s Hometown Market to Hold Grand Reopening Months After Tornado Damage on Monday December 8th

After sustaining extensive damage during the tornado that struck Cave City in March, Hometown Market is officially reopening its doors. The Cave City Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Grand Reopening Ribbon Cutting on Monday, December 8 at 12:00 p.m. at 111 N. Main Street.

The beloved grocery store had been closed “until further notice” following the storm, leaving many local families without their longtime neighborhood market. Now, after months of repair and rebuilding, the store is ready to welcome customers back.

Community members are invited to meet the owners and staff, explore the refreshed store, and take part in the celebratory ribbon cutting. The Chamber encourages residents to “pack the parking lot” to show support for a business that has served Cave City for years.

The event is free and open to the public.
