Authorities say a Searcy man is facing a lengthy list of charges after investigators connected him to a stolen vehicle and a series of vehicle break-ins throughout Jonesboro. According to court documents, Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge Gabriel Corro Hernandez with multiple felonies and misdemeanors, including theft of property, breaking or entering, fleeing, and theft of credit or debit cards.

The investigation began June 10 when police responded to Willow Creek Apartments on South Caraway Road, where a woman reported her white 2012 Nissan Altima stolen along with her keys and wallet. Police later learned the stolen car was used in several additional break-ins nearby. Officers eventually traced the vehicle to the 1900 Links apartment complex, where it was recovered on June 11 with the license plate and stickers removed.
Two witnesses told investigators that Hernandez had been driving the stolen Altima and was in possession of it during the break-ins. On June 12, Hernandez called dispatch claiming someone was trying to break into his apartment. Police later obtained a search warrant for the residence, and on June 16 officers recovered multiple stolen items inside, including the Altima owner’s debit card.
The same night the Altima was recovered, police received several reports of vehicle break-ins near Bekah Drive. One victim provided video of the suspects, and officers located the suspects’ vehicle shortly after. Three people fled on foot; two were arrested and later identified Hernandez as the third suspect who escaped.
Based on the evidence and witness statements, police arrested Hernandez on June 16. Court documents list his bond at $50,000 cash or surety. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 23, 2026.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing as they work to match recovered items with additional victims.
