A large crowd gathered Thursday evening at the Searcy Swim Center as the City of Searcy officially broke ground on the ambitious, voter-approved #MySearcy Projects—a $93 million investment aimed at transforming the community over the next 20 years.
Mayor Mat Faulkner welcomed residents and thanked them for their support, the long-term plan includes the development of a new community center, a family-friendly water park, and major upgrades to sports and recreational facilities across the city.
Families in attendance enjoyed bounce houses, live music, and free ice cream, as city officials and community leaders celebrated what many described as a historic milestone for Searcy’s growth and quality of life.
Construction on Phase One is set to begin this fall.
