Dr. Kateryna Pitchford lived in Ukraine for decades. She now lives in Conway, Arkansas.
Pitchford is a professor at Central Baptist College and even has family in Ukraine.
On July 30th, Pitchford joined the Fairfield Bay Rotary Club to give a presentation on the Ukraine War and the lives impacted by it.
Interesting conversations were reportedly the result.
Mayor Seth Connell issued the following statement regarding the event:

I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope the conflict ends soon.

She’s originally from Ukraine. Today she was in Fairfield Bay.
