The Arkansas Delta Women’s Leadership Academy, a program by Arkansas State University, held a successful Session IV in Searcy as part of its ongoing mission to empower and equip women across the Delta region.

Designed to strengthen leadership across communities, the academy brings together talented women to develop skills in communication, negotiation, and confident leadership. Participants engage with distinguished Arkansas women in business, government, education, and healthcare, while also completing impactful community projects.

During this recent session, attendees toured Searcy with Mayor Mat Faulkner and learned about the city’s growth and future plans.

They also heard inspiring presentations from Dr. Cherisse Jones-Branch, Jannie Cole Quillen, Mayor Stephanie White of Keo, LaDonna Johnston (President/CEO of Unity Health), and Arkansas State Senator Jonathan Dismang.

Participants made significant progress on their ADWLA projects, which are now entering the implementation and celebration phases. Many friendships and professional connections have been formed, making this a meaningful and memorable experience for all involved.
