A wonderful project is underway in Searcy, Arkansas!
It’s called Friends of The Dementia Unit At Oakdale. A local business owner started it!
Local business owner Carole Fultz, who owns Carole’s Copy And Print in downtown Searcy is taking donations for a new courtyard project outside of Oakdale Nursing Home. The new courtyard will allow dementia patients to experience the outdoors safely!
A few thousand dollars have already been raised. But more is reportedly needed!
New Courtyard Fundraiser Underway For Dementia Patients
Here’s the deal. The project is $11,000. If funds are raised, they will reportedly go to building a small courtyard off the Dementia Unit at Oakdale Nursing Home in Searcy.
Carole’s mission for the residents of the nursing home is clear:
“Our mission is to allow them the opportunity to enjoy a little fresh air and outdoor beauty which we consider as valuable to us all.”
Carole says that there are perks to donating to the cause:
“Sponsor a fence panel for $500 or a swing for $250 (includes a plaque of recognition for your business or name of someone you wish to honor), or any donation will be appreciated.”
People who are interested in donating can contact Carole at CarolesCopyAndPrint@Yahoo.com.
