She reportedly applied for car insurance under her grandmother’s name.

Then the accident happened…

Callie Marie Haney, a 26-year-old from Searcy, Arkansas, was arrested on April 23, 2025, at 2:37 AM. She faces charges related to fraudulent insurance acts and other offenses. You can view her photograph below provided by the White County Sheriff’s Office.

According to case files, Haney is accused of knowingly providing false information to Direct General Insurance to secure a lower premium. This alleged act, committed on April 5, 2024, led to a Class D felony charge.

The incident was only discovered after Haney had a car crash that reportedly injured another person.

The reportedly fraudulent insurance application was made in her grandmother’s name, Regina Warren, to misrepresent ownership and household details. Haney admitted to investigators that her driving record would have significantly increased the policy cost.

Even worse, on the application in her grandmother’s name, when asked if anyone else would be using the policy, Haney reportedly marked “no.” At least, that’s what investigators are claiming.

Additional charges against Haney include theft of property valued between $5,000 and $25,000. She also faces two counts of failure to appear in court.

Her total bond is set at $7,650, covering all charges. Court dates are scheduled for May and June 2025.

The investigation, led by CID Investigator James Kulesa, reportedly concluded that it was Haney’s intent to deceive the insurer for financial gain. Direct General filed a fraud complaint due to material misrepresentation.

Haney’s prior traffic violations, including driving without insurance and with a suspended license, contributed to her motive for the fraud. She remains in custody pending her court appearances.

Please note: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court of law.
