A dangerous situation in Van Buren County, Arkansas.
On April 2, 2025, a major fire broke out in Van Buren County, Arkansas. Firefighters rushed to Holly Mountain at around 3 p.m. after reports of a large shop and two RVs ablaze. You can see photographs from the dramatic scene below provided by Burnt Ridge Fire Department.
RV Fire Blaze Erupts in Van Buren County
The Burnt Ridge Volunteer Fire Department led the response. They successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
Inside the burning shop, firefighters managed a daring rescue. They saved an antique pickup truck before the structure was completely engulfed.
Multiple fire departments stepped in to help, including Choctaw, Culpeper, Botkinburg, Fairfield Bay, Hwy 110, and Shirley. Survival Flight ambulance was also on scene for support.
By 3:30 p.m., the blaze was under control. Firefighters stayed until after 5 p.m. to conduct overhaul operations and ensure safety.
The collaborative effort minimized damage and protected the community. No injuries were reported during the incident.
